Abstract:The electronics industry is a section where more foreign investment is utilised earlier. By the end of 1994, the accumulated foreign-invested projects of the whole industry reached about 8000 with the contracted investment totalling US$ 7 billion of which over US$ 4 billion is actually in possession. Foreign investment has exerted both favourable and unfavourable influence. The favourable one finds expression in the introduction of funds and technology, quickening the pace of China's electronics products' going international and the improvement of management of electronics enterprises. The unfavourable one is expressed as the following grade of technological level is on the low side, which is unfavourable to raising the technological level of China's electronics products.
