| Abstract: | This paper analyses the factors restricting the export- oriented economic development of Shanghai's districts and counties and puts forward the following suggestions: The central city proper (which refers to Huangpu, Jingan and Luwan districts) should mainly develop service trade. The districts and counties which do not belong to the central city proper should put efforts on visible trade export and take the secondary industry as their main industry. In the export-oriented economic development, efforts should be concentrated on expanding the export of industrial enterprises under the jurisdiction of districts and counties. The relevant government departments should give active support to them in market information service. |
