| Abstract: | According to the experiences of ASEAN countries, it is not suitable to appreciate RMB exchange rate by a large margin at present. But the problem of pressure on the appreciation of RMB exchange rate must be settled well. To this end, we should take comprehensive measures involving foreign capital , finance and foreign exchange. First, we should change the idea that the more foreign exchange reserve is, the better and keep a moderate scale of exchange reserve. Second, we should utilise foreign investment according to our needs and change the practice of introducing it blindly and on a large scale to raise the economic returns and social benefits of utilising foreign investment. Besides, we should make some adjustment of policy, merge foreign exchange regulation market and inter-bank foreign exchange market into one and bring into play the role foreign exchange. |
