| Abstract: | In the coming 15 year, the developing countries and regions in Asia will become the largest trade centre in the world. China may set the annual growth rates of its economy and foreign trade at 8% and 10% respectively, higher than the average levels of the developing countries in East Asia. China will develop tourism and strategic high-tech industry and reduce the import of high-tech products. It should expand gradually the export of traditional Chinese medicine by taking advantage of China's resources as well as the current state of its being accepted by the European and American countries. Besides it should attach importance to grain production and determine the basic guiding principle of self-sufficiency or basic self-sufficiency in grain. |
