| Abstract: | In recent years, some changes in residents' savings deposit have taken place. The residents' savings deposit rose greatly from 711.98 billion yuan in 1990 to 2966.23 billion yuan in 1995. It , however, is no longer the only form of residents' assets. But the savings deposit in banks and credit co-operatives has still occupied a leading position in residents' financial assets. Meanwhile, the cash volume on hand is still higher. Therefore, we should further straighten out the relationships between different subject in income distribution, speed up the reform of consumer good market, develop properly direct financing, strengthen the debt restraint of enterprises and bring into play the regulatory role of interest rate. Besides, we should heighten financial and economic discipline, put an end to the phenomena that public funds are kept privately. |
