| Abstract: | The article summarises the application of the Target Philosophy as an instrument to enhance customer value. In particular, the possibility to optimise the amount of investments in new vehicle developments with support of Target Investment Methods will be shown. The application of these methods allows, under given economic and strategic premises, a differentially deduced and assured calculation of the Target-Value within the permitted investments for the functional areas. Due to increasing competition and scarce resources in capital intensive industries, strict application and implementation of the Target Investement Methods can be seen as indispensable factors to maintain competitiveness and creation of competitive advantages. |
