| Abstract: | A group of high and new technological industries with "one river and three bridges", the key development districts as the major adhesive points have become the important economic growth points of development and opening-up of Pudong. One river refers to Zhongjiang where the biological and medicinal industries have taken initial shape. Three bridges refer to Jinqiao which has concentrated efforts on introducing the most advanced technology in the world, Wangaoqiao where groups of computer industry emerge as the times demand and Sunqiao which is the first development zone of modern agriculture in the country. By 2000, the total output value of high and new technological industries will reach over 80 billion yuan, accounting for about 30% of the total. |
