| Abstract: | This article discusses the problem of obtaining information on potential employees. Former employers can be reluctant to disclose information about an applicant for a fear of lawsuits. On the other hand applicants should be protected against false and malicious references. The purpose of this article is to evaluate these problems and find ways to ensure that accurate information is obtained. |
