Abstract:The image of retail establishment is its appearance to target markets. There are 63 households and 93 manager ratings compared of a national store on 29 image variables. The study is conducted by contrasting management and customer-perceived store images in an attempt to improve the retail establishment performance. Differences btw. management and customer image components. In the study, there are: identification of congruence image factor combinations, and reference to research conducted by Pierre Martineau on the retail image concept.
