| Abstract: | We may draw the following experience and lessons from the southeast Asian financial turmoil: 1. We should make full use of China's comparative advantages in industrial development; 2. We should pay attention to the overheated phenomena in the development of real estate and stock market during the period of rapid economic development; 3. Direct foreign investment should be encouraged in the current development stage in China; 4. We should make up our mind to conduct reform thoroughly in the banking system as early as possible with a view to achieve the goal of commercialization of banks and marketization of interest rate". |
