Abstract:The way out for the reform and revitalization of Chinese railways lies in the building of a mobile, flexible, convenient, comfortable, fast, safe, economic and efficient transportation system, namely the chasing and uncoupling railway transportation system, in which trains don't stop between the station of departure and the terminal while it is still convenient for passengers to get on or off the train. Its character is as follows: the running train is always in a high-speed running condition and the process of passengers' getting on or off the train is accomplished by the chasing train and the uncoupling train. Such system aims at the rise of systematic speed and puts more emphasis on the transformation of railway operation views and management patterns.
