| Abstract: | This paper presents information on a study which evaluated the usefulness of a proposed model for measuring reimbursement incentives under refined hospital prospective payment system. The paper illustrates how hospital response to both marginal and average price incentives can cause either over- or underestimation of payer cost sharing. In the present study, there was evidenced overestimation of the marginal reimbursement incentives. |
