| Abstract: | The focus of this article is on China's reforms as seen from the outside world. It describes first the interaction between China's reform process and WTO membership, followed by an overview of reforms since 1978. Special attention is given to the state enterprise sector and financial services. The last two sections are devoted to China's foreign investment regime and generic WTO issues. |
