Abstract:The continuous drop of prices since July, 1997 has exercised more and more negative influences on the social economy. The price factors in 'promoting consuming but with little effect are as follows: a series of reform connected with the price reform has strengthened the psychological consuming wishes. The prices of important goods have long been tried to manage but with little effect, and the price war among enterprises intensified the falling trend of prices. The countermeasures the paper proposes are to maintain the basic stability of prices, manage resolutely the upper reaches products, intensify the work to do a way with the cutting prices at will and develop the market of price information.
