Abstract: | This is an introduction for this issue's articles on 'perpetual user interfaces'. Human-computer interaction using human-computer interfaces(HCI) has not changed fundamentally for nearly two decades. The majority work in HCIs in recent decades has aimed at creating graphical user interfaces (GUIs). There is a need for interaction techniques well matched with how people will use computers. It is a question on how people interact with each other and with the real world. That's the essence for 'perpetual user interfaces' (PUIs). |
