Abstract: | Imagine the possibilities if any item in any supply chain could tell you where it was and what was happening to it. Object-to-object (o-to-o) communication has become practical for several uses. O-to-o technology can also have other implications, primarily related to privacy. As radio frequency identification systems advance, new business models, incl. entirely new ways of offering products and services, will emerge. The o-to-o technology is already helping companies reduce costs, enhance security and improve the customer experience. |
