| Abstract: | One size seldom fits all, and supply chain relationship arrangements are unwisely chosen in terms of popularity contest criteria. What works best? The article compares the advantages and shortcomings of the many possible supply chain relationships. Specifically, two of the most important characteristics of the buyer/supplier relationship are closeness btw. the two organizations and the risk of losing control faced by the buyer. This article compares cosourcing relationships with seven other relationship arrangements. |
