Abstract: | This paper investigates measures to minimize collusion in foreign currency auctions. Currency auctions have long been used as a transitory measure during the time of transition from a government-controlled fixed exchange market to a market-based floating system. The purpose of this paper is to extend existing cooperative multi-period game theory models to better analyze currency auctions, from the theoretical model insights into efficiency-gaining procedures. |
