| Abstract: | The authors investigate the determinants of value creation for partner firms in forming global alliances. They analyze the determinants at three different levels: alliance, partner, and context. The results show that alliance characteristics have positive effects on partner firms' stock prices, whereas partner characteristics, except for relative performance, have little impact on stock prices. Contrary to authors' expectation, cultural similarity has a negative, though weak, association with value creation. |
