| Abstract: | The paper uses data for the U.S., U.K., Sweden and Switzerland to compare the return and risk parameters of real estate with those of other asset classes, and to analyze the correlation between real estate returns and the returns on financial assets. It then invetigates the benefits of including real estate assets - both domestic and international - in institutional portfolios in the four countries. |
