Abstract: | This article explores discourses used by managers and by employee about gender, gender equality, flexible working patterns, and work-life. The purpose of the study was to find whether genderblind terms such as "flexible working", "flexibility", and "work-life balance", are positive or negative for feminist goals of advancing gender equality. The results show that even though respondents aimed to use gender-neutral language to reduce gender differences, gender equality was not achieved. |
