| Abstract: | This paper examines to which extent owner-manager gender appers to influence the financial performance and business growth of over 2000 Australian SMEs for three financial years from 1995-6 to 1997-8. The findings indicate that there is no significant differences in financial performance and business growth between female and male owner-managed groups once demographic and other relevant controlling influences are taken into account. |
