| Abstract: | This article introduces The Tourism Knowledge Map, which is a part of a larger project that develops a web portal called The Tourism Knowledge Base. On this web site comprehensive information about the organisations in Austria is provided. The Knowledge Map assists the users in finding and optimizing a set of keywords for starting an efficient search operation in tourism-centered databases accessible on the Internet. In this article three real-world examples show how a Knowledge Map may be constructed from the frequencies of keywords and their co-occurrence in the headnotes of tourism-related research papers, articles and reports. |
