| Abstract: | This paper is founded on the study of the image emitted of a cultural destination, in this case city of Girona, Spain. Proposing new methodology the purpose of this study is to determine what the socially constructed image of the city is. The data of this study comes from tourist guide books and includes illustrations, photos and texts. Findings show that a sequence of images appear with roots a Romantic perception to the more complex visualisation of post-modern period. |
