| Abstract: | The article uses a stakeholder theory analysis to the empirical study of chief executive officers of tourism destination management organizations. Specifically, the CEO's are analyzed for their potential to threaten and cooperate with the organizations. Different management strategies are prescribed and these are compared to the CEO's experiences. Implications for future research are discussed with a special emphases on the relationship between destination management organizations and their stakeholders. |
