| Abstract: | This paper discusses alliances and how academic publications on alliances and on the dynamics of cooperation has increased. According to the authors, the body of knowledge on the dynamics of cooperation developed so far is characterized by fragmentation, alck of coherence and non-comparable research output. There is no consensus on paradigmatic beliefs, which complicates theoretical progress. This results to an academic gap. Furthermore, the irrelevant research questions lead to a managerial relevance gap. |
