Abstract:This study examines a sample of 65 hospitals representing service organizations (here as: s-orgs.) to determine if applying Altman's Z-score model with modified financial (as: fin.) ratios will yield significant prediction power for s-orgs.' fin. status as in non-manufacturing companies. Among others, it is shown that Discriminant analysis and Logistic regression models can predict s-orgs.' fin. status and whether they are going to fail or succeed.
