Abstract:The paper discusses tourism and sustainable tourism as the response to many negative effects of conventional mass tourism. Also the paper attempts to define sustainable tourism and asks the question whether the term of sustainable tourism is an acceptable criteria or is merely a marketing ploy to attract the morally conscious tourist.
