| Abstract: | This article is concerned with the deviating experiences of leisure studies and tourism studies in their engagements with 'the cultural turn' in the last part of 20th century. It is argued here that within leisure studies the critical theory is still a dominant influence, whilst within contemporary tourism studies the turn to culture has become more important. |
