Abstract: | In this paper the authors main objective is to reveal the underlying push and pull motivational factors related with going to Dublin as a break holiday. The paper studies 40 city break visitors through in-depth interviews. The interviews show six push factors and eight pull factors. Main push factors found in the study were: escape, socialising and self esteem(gift giving.) The main pull factors found were particularly important in terms of the travel decision. Factors such as: availability of cheap flights and ease of access were seen as important when making decisions. |
