Abstract: | In this paper the authors research the impacts of societal culture on group organizational citizenship behavior (GOCB) as well as the moderating role of culture on the relationship between directive and supportive leadership and GOCB. The authors collected data from 33 different countries from 20 336 managers and 95 893 corresponding team members. By using multi-level analysis the authors aimed to test the hypotheses, in addition culture was operationalized by using two dimensions of Hofstede (2001) and GLOBE (2004): Individualism and power distance. |
