Abstract:The idea of this paper is to discuss the relation between business-to-business (hereafter as B2B) e-commerce benefits, information technology (hereafter as IT) invest evaluation methodologies, IT benefit realization processes (hereafter as BRP) B2B e-commerce adoption readiness and IT maturity. In this study the authors show the drivers for realizing B2B e-commerce benefits within large Australian organizations. A new IT investment management model was developed to test the relationships and it provided strong support for the research model. The findings from this survey revealed that a higher level of BRP adoption and increased level of readiness to adopt B2B e-commerce had a significant direct relationship with B2B e-commerce benefits.
