Abstract:This paper introduces and tests a model of organizational commitment in multinational corporations (MNCs). The model enables the analysis of both direct and indirect effects of organizational culture and human resource management on employee commitment. The model was tested on 1664 employees of 10 multinational corporations, and the results of the analysis support the introduced model. The findings of the study indicate that organizational culture and human resource management system do affect employee commitment, but the effect of traditional human organization elements in multinational corporations is in part mediated through top management orientations.
