Abstract: | The study uses conjoint analysis to investigate the impact of the attributes of live theatre performances on demand. The data were collected from attenders at South African National Arts Festival. It is found that the age of a consumer affects the type of the chosen show, and utility and willingness to pay increase for shows with professional and semi-professional casts. 93% of the potential audience seem to prefer shows with a South African context. |
