Abstract: | Future research should explore the psychological processes producing ethical judgments (herin as: e-jdgmts.) This paper deals with two steps needed to advance this effort. It is noted that the business ethics literature lacks a single, generally accepted definition of e-jdgmts. Herein, a definition of the construct is provided with discussion on its advantages. Furthermore, greater integration btw. theories of ethical decision making and theories of social cognition would benefit future research on e-jdgmts. A brief research agenda is presented in order to stimulate research on the psychological processes behind e-jdgmts. |
