Abstract: | In order to complement previous empirical research on the business case for corporate social responsibility (CSR), this study utilizes unused data on corporate social performance (CSP). Also, statistical analyses are proposed to account for bi-directional causality btw. social and financial performance. Although there is provided no evidence that there is a generic or universal business case for CSR, it is indicated that there is a strong link btw. single stakeholder-related issues of CSR and financial performance. Yet, the analysis does not indicate causality within these relationships. |
