Abstract: | During a strike, important psychological processes and stressors take place which can cause major and rapid role changes of those involved. These psychological consequences are examined. Data were collected from 117 full-time, white collar union members right after a 22 day strike, and then 2 and 6 months later. The amount of unfavourable changes in marital adjustment, psychological well-being, and psychosomatic symptoms are examined. |
