| Abstract: | Industrial relations of NUMMI /New United Motor Manufacturing,Inc./ are presented. NUMMI is the joint venture of Toyota and General Motors. Kaizen is a tool in the search for constant improvement in self,team,NUMMI and community. Collaborative problem solving system /CPS/ of the firm is defined as the mechanism for reaching consensus and finding win-win solutions to problems in engineering,on the shop floor,in executive decision making,and in labour-management relations. Jikoda means establishing harmony between people,machines,product and process. |
