Abstract: | Election polling is a new science in India. The size, heterogeneity, and multiparty system make sampling difficult. Social and natural circumstances make fieldwork very risky. Owing to logistical problems, national poll takes 1-2 weeks. Using 'swing-zones' will make vote-seat conversion easier. Despite all the problems, election polling will gain ground in India. |
