Abstract:The systems development life cycle has been used in projects to develop computer-based information systems in organizations to lessen the application problems. Basically projects are broken into phases for planning and control purposes. For each phase, cost, time and personnel requirements are estimated. The end of a phase usually requires a management review of the end products of the phase and management approval to continue with the next phase. This process supports the better management of computer projects.
