Abstract: | An analysis that contrasts the vehemence which links Japanese cultural uniqueness with the spirit of the language and the Japanese willingness to use English language loanwords in establishing an identity for indigenous produce offerings, focusing on the investing of indigenous consumer goods with meaning through the use of loanwords in a culturally conservative blocked market context, exploring the meaning of such investment and diffusion of cultural elements and their adaptation to local systems of meaning, as a significant macroconsumption pattern. |
