Abstract:For many organizations, information systems not only flow from strategy, but are integral to strategy. Strategy implementation is fast-paced, risky enterprise. As companies seek to renovate their systems to support new strategies, they must also develop comprehensive test plans that can prove the integrity and reliability of these systems. Three phases in the test process are: unit test, systems test, integration test. The technical, functional and procedural aspects of the test process. Price Waterhouse's experience with systems renovation projects reveals that there is growing respect for the systems test. The incisive test plan is sculpted by a management team that understands testing is basic to strategy implementation.
