| Abstract: | In 1980, the rigid work organization at Caterpillar and the increasing production costs gave cause to worries. Production flexibility had to be increased and people had to be prepared to use new tools so that they could become managers of complete manufacture processes. Explained are the different steps of the action that began with a structural reorganization in "daisy" and went on with the setting up of a participative movement and a training aimed at providing the personnel at all levels, with abilities for the management in his sphere of responsibilities. |
