| Abstract: | Criminal liability for corporations and individual business executives has received significantly increased attention recently, but the idea of using criminal sanctions to deter corporate misbehavior is hardly new. Despite the apparent trend to bring business illegality within the criminal jurisdiction of state as well as federal authorities, little knowledge exist regarding the experiences and views of those who must actually make and be accountable for the decision to prosecute such cases at the local level: the district attorneys themselves. A survey is described including both fixed-responsed and open-ended questions. |
