Abstract:When the outcomes of alternatives take rise in more than one period, the usual concept of dominance - only based on these outcomes - should have the same plausibility like in other cases of complex decisions. A further kind of dominance is proposed, using time itself as an additional possible source of general preferences. The plausibility of this "time dominance" is purely based on the assumption of outcomes being savable over time without any disadvantage. The time conflict is characterized by the following: - the results of activity alternatives occur not at once, - for the decision bearer it is not the same when the results occur, - there is no result-vector that would dominate all others.
