Abstract: | Gain sharing is based on the concept that resulting incremental economic gains are shared among employees and the company. The components of a successful gain sharing plan are presented like: plan objectives; definition of performance measures; funding formula; distribution method; size of payment; payment form; frequency of payment; support systems. Employee participation in plan design is expected through representation in plan-design teams. A model gain sharing plan design and administration is exhibited. An implementation strategy of the plan is described. |
