Abstract:Recent statistics show that in America 60 p.c. of all families have dual careers. The resistance to relocate is growing. Female spouses simply do not get much satisfaction from their husband's successful career any more. They have created their own pathways of self actualization. Tradition previously has implied that all these needs were met when the husband received a promotion. This is not true any more, because relocation does not always lead to a promotion or increased earnings. Dual careers are the key to a higher standard of living.
