Abstract:After the transfer of ITV school programs to Channel 4 this autumn, ITV and BBC will compete to win the viewers between 9.30 and 12.00 on weekdays. Since Oct. 1986, BBC has pioneered by screening an all-morning weekday program aimed mainly at housewives and small children. In the U.S. about 25% of households watch TV during mid-morning period, while ratings vary between 10-15% in Britain.
