| Abstract: | The new media legislation, if passed by the Italian Senate, would legislate private TV networks for the first time. The "Option Zero" clause, which forbids the ownership of a TV network by anyone having a newspaper, has been strongly opposed. RAI president says, the proposals are not ideal, but better than no legislation at all. |
