| Abstract: | Until now complicated equipment was used to convert a videotape from one standard to another. Now, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. has developed a VCR which is the first to use digital technology to allow the VCR to automatically adapt its recording and playback modes to handle different worldwide video formats. The new VCR model W2-COM will go on sale in spring of 1990. Panasonic's VCR also offers dual standard capability. |
